Mrs Debbie Holdstock has been the principal teacher of The Allenby Dance Studio since it was first established in 1991. Debbie began training in the UK at only 4 years of age; her love of dance grew from this early start. In Australia she took classes in the Royal Academy of Dancing Syllabi, and further studied in EDTA. Later as a young Adult the desire to teach had formed. This desire was encouraged by a good friend and dancing colleague. Teacher Training began in earnest, taking exams and gaining qualifications firstly with The Society of Australian Teachers of Dancing, and then later qualifying as an Associate Teacher, with Australian Teachers of Dancing.
Debbie teaches with kindness and understanding, nurturing her students on the road to success.
Teachers of the Allenby Dance Studio were awarded the Dorothy Cowie Teachers Award in 2006 and again in 2008.
Mrs Selina Nancarrow

Selina is a wonderful Dancer and Teacher she draws from many experiences in her training, working with renowned Choreographers and Teachers, and later performing as a Dancer, Choreographing, adjudicating and Teaching.
Selina has completed Advanced Examinations in Ballet, jazz and tap as well as the Avril Binzer Senior Performance Award, with the Australian Teachers of Dancing She also achieved the senior jazz award with the Commonwealth Society for Teachers of Dancing.,
After successfully auditioning for 8 major full-time dance schools, Selina chose to Attend Brent St Studios in Sydney.
Selina achieved her Teaching Diploma with the Allenby Dance Studio, where
Students now gain inspiration, and enthusiasm, to work towards achieving their full potential. This becomes very evident in their performance work, in all Styles.
Mrs Melissa West
A.T.O.D. Members Teaching Diploma
A.R.A.D. Royal New Zealand Ballet School
Melissa began learning to dance at 3 years of age. At 14 Melissa knew that she wanted a career in Dance. Melissa travelled to Vienna to dance with the Vienna Opera Ballet School where she was offered a place in their school. Although completing exams in all styles, her first love was always Classical Ballet. After being offered a place in The Queensland Dance School of Excellence, Melissa successfully auditioned and trained full time with the Ransley Gold Coast Ballet School. At 17 she then succeeded in gaining a place at the Royal New Zealand Ballet School.
During her training Melissa had many Performance opportunities performing leading roles in many Major Ballets.
Melissa achieved her Teaching Diploma with the Allenby Dance Studio, and now enjoys teaching children of all ages, sharing with them her love of dance.

We enjoy working with our students, and find teaching always offers a new challenge.Students continue to be consistently successful in examinations with 100% pass rate, and Distinctions being awarded.Students participate with outstanding success in Eisteddfods, performing in group, solo, and duo items.
The Allenby Dance Studio has been awarded many places throughout the Australian Teachers of Dancing Competitions and Scholarships.Students of the Allenby Dance Studio have been successful in gaining places at highly regarded dance institutions such as Brent Street Studios, Dance World 301, ED5, Australian Ballet School Associates, Queensland Dance School of Excellence, Queensland Ballet Extension programs, Ballet Theatre, Victorian College of the Arts, Conservatorium of Ballet and QUT bachelor of fine arts.We are so proud of our students and their many achievements. We can see that we have many young students setting the standards for the rest of the dancing community throughout the world.
